Image of a black hole

For a Computational Physics II class project at Louisiana State University in 2017, I simulated a 42x42 pixel image of a black hole using ray-tracing techniques by computing the light paths around the black hole (light-like geodesics).

Pixelated image of a black hole

For a Computational Physics II class project at Louisiana State University in 2017, I simulated a 42x42 pixel image of a black hole using ray-tracing techniques by computing the light paths around the black hole (light-like geodesics). The red dot at the center indicates where the black hole would be. You may be able to see the Einstein ring created by lensing of stars behind the black hole.
